Bye to Fall...Hello to Winter
Another beautiful day. My car said 80! Then the weather forecast calls for snow on Monday. How could this be, you ask? It's Indiana.

Pumpkins and Frankenstein
Frankenstein pudding cups. Not quite as cute as the original, but just as tasty and fun
This boy is minutes away from crawling
Before...my next project is to refinish this into our entry table. Just you see.
Our fall front porch. Love the trees, although they are shedding like crazy.
Someone likes food.
Check out Henry in this picture. I'm pulling this one out for his first girlfriend.
It doesn't feel like a lot happened lately, but looking back I suppose it did.
The boys and I stayed in Saturday. It was cold and rainy. Too bad because ND played Stanford and my HR team had a tailgater. I couldn't get the boys out in that by myself. Chad was at the game and started tailgating at 8:30am. He was freezing by the time it started at 3pm, but was reinvigorated when they started kicking butt. The tickets were in the student section and he said it was the best live football game he has ever been to. I love that he could go with his bff. Making up for lost time.
Max is so stinking close to crawling. He has actually taken a few strides, but then he collapses or stares at us like "now what?". So far he has loved avocado, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, banana, peas, and apple. 6 month check up tomorrow.
Ben stubbed his toe last night. He started sobbing. Then he looks at me all serious and says "Now I'm only down to one leg. I don't think I'm going to make it." He was serious. It took a mickey mouse band-aid and some mommy hugs to calm him down.
Henry, into everything as usual. He likes to put all the diapers and toys into the fireplace. It's not on of course, but we can't ever light it now.
So I'm starting this project on the desk pictured above. I got the desk free from work. They were going to throw it away! I have big plans for this in our entry way. I've sanded it, and then needs some wood glue and lots of paint. I have glass tiles for the top. I hope it works, but if not I can't argue with free!
Gotta go! The Walking Dead premiere is on!

Maxaroo Eating Cereal and Hands
I also love the golden leaves in the window behind him. Such beauty.
My FAVORITE Max face. He sticks out his lower lip and looks like a little old man.
So, I'm going to start Max on real food. I swear. I was so eager with Ben, less with Henry, and I wish Max could already feed himself. I am looking forward to making it, in theory. I can knock it out in a day, but what to do with the baboons running around my feet? Sure they could help, but the blender is too loud for them. I guess they will have to deal if little brother is going to eat. Max loves to watch us eat and follows the fork into our mouth. It's time, mom. Feed the child.
Today was cold. Perfect cold. I loved it. I made Ben some hot cocoa with pumpkin marshmallows. That is the reason I'm a mom. One of them anyway. My dad came over to frame the mirror in our master bath. When the painters tape comes down, I'll post a pic. What an amazing transition. Ben stayed over there on Friday. He had a great time, and from all reports actually behaved himself. I like to think that my kids are perfect angels when we aren't around. They never throw fits and always use manners. Yeah, that happens. Right?
I've already started on my New Year's resolution planning for 2013, but would be more than happy to get started before the big day. I want to sew. I have a sewing machine, still in the box. I think my mom gave it to me at preschool graduation. Ok, so it only feels that long ago. I want to use it. Desperately. I want to me crafty and use my hands. I'm too tired, too lazy. But, I'm throwing in the towel on the excuses. I'm doing it. Now that Max has his own space, the nursery nook in our bedroom is empty and sad. We iron in there and use it as a dumping ground for clean laundry. Oh, this just won't do. I also want to run. I hate running. So I guess I should start with wanting to like running first. Not five hour runs, but enough to feel it under my poor excuse for running shoes. That's lower on my list of two resolutions. Mostly because my lungs hurt just thinking about it. But also my back hurts, and that's legit. Maybe running...or more moving in general...would be good for me.
