My mom keeps me sane sometimes. It's been a very rough couple of days and she has been more of a blessing than usual. Between the KS house sale (in particular the buyer), the car accident and the doctor's not seeming to care that I want Chad here for Max's arrival, I might just need to take up boxing so I can punch something.  I go to bed pretty early. Last night, I stared at the walls until 1am. This too shall pass. Chad will be here soon. I will return to a slightly less neurotic me.

Bummer Weekend

Chad left on Saturday to head back to Wichita. That was not the biggest bummer. The worst part, he was t-boned by a woman in her 90's on Friday night. No one was seriously hurt, except my bff Sante Fe. The woman ran a red light and destroyed my car. Luckily there was a witness, because the driver who hit Chad had no clue where she was let alone what had happened. Then on Saturday morning, Ben fell off the kitchen chair and smacked his face onto the floor, splitting open his lip something awful. We went to urgent care, but the doc said stitches wouldn't be necessary for this one. He is in good spirits, but a Popsicle did help.

Today was much better. We went to some new friends house to play. I really wanted to talk photography with the momma, but the 4 boys kept us busy! Ben really needed a good play date, and I'm so glad we went. As soon as we left the neighborhood, both boys were zonked out. Success!

The house is coming along. Honestly I'm too exhausted thinking about it to write much. But I would like to say that it wouldn't be anywhere near as far along without the help we have received. Our parents have been painting, hanging lights, scrubbing toilets, changing locks, etc. I don't know where the energy comes from, because they go to work on the house in between their real jobs! Chad was very busy painting and organizing our stuff all week too. I made him a never ending honey-do list. Anyway, we owe them big time. We will move in when Max is born in the next couple of weeks. It's great to have this in between period where we can go over and work on the mess, but then come home to my mom's clean house and yummy cooking!

Boys Room Ideas

So these are some new ideas for Ben & Henry's room. They will eventually share once Max is big enough to move to his own space. I want a fun place for them, but somewhere they can learn too. So, here are the new ideas. The room will resemble the first picture with the map, but I'd love to add the teepee as well. These boys love books, but also hiding from us. Perfect solution!
