Could be twins!
9 months, and counting. Oh my! What would I do if they were twins! Double trouble, but double cuteness.
While I was at it, I decided to take a walk down memory lane and compare Ben's 6 month pics with Smith & Hopper to a recent shot. He still has those gorgeous baby blue eyes.

On to Monday
The weekend has come and gone. I attempted to get some 9 month pics of Henry, but then the clouds rolled in and the lighting was not so good. The biggest bummer? No rain with those clouds! It rained all around us, but not a single drop here. Eh. I'll try more this week. At least we got to see baby Kate!

Oh Winnie, Oh Pooh
We did it! We went to the movies and it was fantastic! It was Jackie's birthday on Friday, and she wanted to spend it with the kids watching Winnie the Pooh. There were 28 of us all together. Ben did a fantastic job, with his popcorn, M&M's and pretzels. He crawled in my lap just once. There was even a cartoon before the movie started, and when it was over Ben yells loudly, "Hmm. That was a good story." So very adorable, I think we must go back for more.
I also feel like this blog is being taken over by people you probably don't know. Maybe I should start a blog for my photography only? I have a shoot next weekend, and one scheduled for September so it's bound to take up more of my precious blogging space. Oh! Did you see my new purchase in the pictures below?! We found it at an estate sale! Anyway, I feel like I've not taken that many pictures of my boys lately! Since Henry turns 9 months this week (gasp) I'll probably do some so I can compare them to Ben's 9 month pics.
So what else is new? I really don't know. I'm sleepy and just want to shower and turn in for the night. Chad is at band practice. Yes, that is correct. He has been invited to sing and play guitar in a friends band. As luck would have it he cut off a small portion of his finger today while lifting a bench. I'm exaggerating, but he did get a fairly large boo-boo about an hour before he left. Doesn't make for good music.
Tomorrow is back to Sunday School for Ben. He has been talking about it all week, and wants to know if Chad will also be making a Captain America and the Whale tomorrow. I'm doubting that.
When is Fall going to get here? I could go for some pumpkin bread and, well, anything pumpkin.
Sister Session
Nicole and Amanda were a blast to work with for my first sister session. They say they don't get along, but the pictures say otherwise. They make having a sister look like a blast, and I sure appreciated the opportunity to catch it on film.

My Nephew

| Christina & Brian |
This is my nephew, Brian. I may have stolen these pictures off of my sis-in-law's facebook, because I haven't seen him yet! I will pinch his little cheeks in about 6 weeks, which right now could not seem further away. He has my brother's eyes and giant head (I love ya, bro). Those big, brown eyes are just beautiful. Christina says his hair is coming in auburn, which I find dreamy on babies. Ooh I can't wait to see all the boys together. Imagine that photo opportunity!

NKOTBSB and Mr. Schuster!
Ooh la la, was NKOTBSB (New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys) on fire this weekend! Holy cow - I felt like I was thirteen again. Screaming, jumping, googly-eyed. I have to say, they are still total hotness after all these years. Songs are still corny, but I'll take it. Rozzy & I drove to KC for the show. I, being a groupie wanna be, stood outside in the 100 degree weather to get a glimpse. To my wonderful surprise, Mr. Shu from Glee was the opening act! I asked a mom next to me to take my picture. She instead put it on video, so I just took a screen shot of that and viola! He is so handsome in person, and quite lovely nice I might add. I also saw Brian from BSB up close, but he was never a favorite. I wanted Donnie! Good thing I went in before he came out though. I may have had a crying episode like I did when I saw Bryan White many a years ago. I'd like to think that celebrities don't have that affect on me anymore, but that is unconfirmed at this time.
Anyway, the show was a-maz-ing. We danced for 2+ hours, sang all the songs, and basically went back in time. That was until Joey (NKOTB) reminded me that there were a few generations in the crowd, and for some of us it felt like 1989. Has it really been that long?! Crapstick! I have a shirt to prove I was there (thanks to Rozzy) and many a memory of Donnie on the jumbo-tron.
Chad went to Chitown with his BFF to see a concert too. The band was Soundgarden and he is pretty sure that via Twitter, he convinced @chriscornell to play Rusty Cage, his favorite song. Cool. Rumor has it he crowd surfed and loved every minute of it. We are going to try for a concert together in September! I might crowd surf at that one...He also visited some old friends in Indy on Friday. Nice to see their little guy (5) growing up. Chad said he is adorable and didn't want him to go.
The boys stayed the weekend with Jackie, who took them to church on Sunday. Ben made the congregation chuckle when the Pastor asked if anyone had ever forgotten anything, to which Ben replied "I forget to take a nap sometimes". Gotta love that baby. I think we will have to go back. Everyone loved the boys and Ben made Jonah and the whale in Sunday school. Although according to Ben, it's Captain America and the whale. Too cute!
Back to work tomorrow. Boo, but glad that I have somewhere to go to escape the heat and keep me busy.

Brandi & Ty Engagement Pics
My first engagement session went swimmingly! It helps to have the most beautiful couple as the subjects. I have the honor of standing in their wedding in December, and I could not be happier for them. They are a truly beautiful couple inside and out. Congrats on your engagement!

Happy Independence Day!

HOT! We enjoyed the weekend in the air conditioning. No one seemed to mind though. We tried swimming in the backyard, but poor Henry couldn't take the heat in the shade. We had yummy treats, visited the children's museum, and ran around the house. Ben is walking away from this weekend with a nice shiner on his eye from the coffee table. He takes after his mommy and trips on air. Only this time the couch was to blame for bouncing him right back into the table. Dumb table. Don't you know that although we padded you for the most part, you are supposed to hide your pointy edges when a two year old is present?!Henry is SO close to crawling. He has taken a few knee-hand-knee-splat movements. I'm not ready for two mobile kiddos, but at the same time I eagerly anticipate this next milestone. I'm sure at some point Ben will try to ride him like a horse. I'd better prepare the camera now. His little tooth is too adorable. The other must be poking through any day.
Ben cracks us up! I should really be making a list of what he says to us. Today I asked if he wanted to go to the movie, and he put his hand on my knee to say "sweetie, it's not open yet." We did not in fact try out a movie in the theater. I know he isn't ready, but I daydream about sharing popcorn and candy with my son at the movie. It's pretty much one of my favorite places to be, so call me crazy. He would just look so cute swinging his feet of the red velvet seats. Why is it that I know he isn't ready? He pooped on our bedroom floor tonight. Yep, not ready.
