Henry loves bath time!

My boys

Playing ball with Andrea (& baby Kate)

Going to try for a very quick post this morning. Thy boys had their checks ups this last week.
A look at Ben at 2 years:
24 lbs 3 oz, 6%
34 in, 36%
Head is at 47 1/2 cm, 20%

A look at Henry at 2 1/2 months:
13lb 1 oz, 55%
24 1/8 in, 66%
Head is at 39 cm, 10%

Go Henry! He looks almost as big as Ben! We have all been suffering with the flu for 2 weeks now. As soon as one of us gets better, after a few days it comes around again. Both boys have been in good spirits though, and back to eating pretty well. We also took family photos on Saturday, and I hope they turn out ok. More to come...

Very sad Kansas snowman

Ha! Think he was ready to go inside?!

All dressed up

Welcome home, JD!

Surely brothers

So much going on, and no desire to write it all. I know - why have a blog then?! Snow finally came to Kansas. It sure was pretty, and closed school for two days. Good thing too, because Ben came down with a nasty stomach bug this week. He threw up for this first time, and it really scared him. It scared me too when I found vomit all over the walls and my two year old at 2am! It appears since he didn't know what to do with it, he placed it all over everything within reach. He is much better now though. It only lasted a couple of days, but that is far too long for a baby. He was so sleepy but enjoyed watching Dora with me & Chad for a couple days.

We welcomed home our dear friend, JD, who was in Afghanistan for the past 6 months. We missed him terribly, and look forward to a year of cookouts and couples nights with JD & Jackie.

Chad turned 30 yesterday! I bought him 10 weeks of music lessons with Ben. Should be interesting to say the least. They are going to listen to different types of music, play instruments, and probably dance a bit :). He said he liked it anyway.

Henry is doing quite well holding his head up. He doesn't have any problems looking around while on is belly. I love watching him smile too. He just coos all the time. We go for three month pictures this week. It will be fun to compare both boys at that age. I still stand by the fact that he looks more like me than Chad. Most people have said that too, but when you put them next to each other, they sure look like brothers.

And finally, the best news of all....I am going to see NKOTBSB with some girlfriends in July! Seriously, so ridiculously excited. We will be dressing the part, and I'm hoping I don't cry this time. Not that I have before, but you know what I'm saying.

Mom & Auntie Donna's Visit

Henry & his Busia

Auntie Donna

Me & the stud

Ben with his BFF, Kent

We had a wonderful visit with mom & Donna. Unfortunately I had to work every day except Friday, but they really came to see the boys anyway. They sure kept them busy! Mom & Donna made us some super dinners, Donna picked out the worst movie, Bear, to watch one night (but we forgave her), and us ladies went for lunch and pedicures on Friday. I love having them here.

On New Years, we went to dinner with friends, and then to see yet another terrible movie, Little Fockers. I'll take the blame for this one, although nothing else was really playing by the time dinner was over. I was too exhausted to wait for the 10pm show! So even though we had a New Years out, we were in by 11pm. I really didn't mind though. Maybe it comes with parenthood, or maybe staying off the road and avoiding the crazies sounded more appealing.

Saturday, we went to Ben's daycare for a belated birthday party for Jackie's husband, Kent. Ben adores Kent, and the feeling is mutual. He is Kent's little buddy at daycare. Jackie made all kinds of treats, but Ben enjoyed the broccoli and cauliflower the most. That's my boy! Today, we take it easy. Lots to do around here, and I shall enjoy the last few minutes of quiet as both boys nap. Ahh.
