We took a trip to the park with Andrea this evening. The weather was perfect, despite the mosquitoes. After our stroller ride, we went to this new play area for the kiddos. Ben couldn't do much, but he certainly enjoyed the swing and the slide. Look at those chubby legs. If you look close in the first picture, you can see his two teeth!

We had a terrific weekend! The weather was in the 80's and just beautiful. We had some friends over for dinner and Ben was able to see his bff Ethan again. Ethan is 5 weeks younger than Ben, but he definitely beat Ben in a crawling race! He is quite to scooter. It was fun to see them stare at each other. Ooh, another baby!

Today we took a trip to the YMCA down the street. It has a nice water park with lots of fun stuff for the babes. Ben loved it! We played in the big wave pool, under the fountains, and on the big whale. He even made a friend who was quite intrigued with his attempts to swim. I put him on his belly and he just kicked away. He always has a good time splashing around, but has never seen a pool quite so big. We will be going back as long as the weather holds up. When he is a little bigger we will try the kid slides. On to Monday...

Ben turned 7 months yesterday! We find it hard to believe that he is that old already. He has been spotted on all fours a few times the last couple of days. We think its only a matter of time before he heads for the stairs. Baby gate shopping here we come.

He really enjoyed his yellow squash for lunch today. Turns out he enjoys his veggies much like his mama. He has also tasted ice cream thanks to his daddy and it turns out that he loves that too.

Every day is something new with the baby. Love it!

Here we are again in the ducky tub - loving every minute of it! The tub must have some magical powers because Ben slept for 8 hours straight last night. We just wish we would have gone to bed at the same time so we could have had 8 hours too! It was really great though. He was quite the refreshed baby this morning.

Ben is getting very close to crawling! He gets his knees up underneath him, but doesn't quite grasp the connection between that and his arms. It is so cute to watch him try though. we had better start baby proofing the house yesterday!

He is also doing much better since the pink eye incident. His eyes are back to normal and he is quite the pretty baby again.

As for baby food, we will be trying a few new recipes this weekend. Blueberries, cherries, sweet potato and squash stew, asparagus risotto, turkey, and whipped cauliflower. We will be stockpiling since making baby food is quite the process. I gave him some banana last night and he didn't like it. The last time he tried banana was the Gerber kind and he didn't like that either. I thought I'd give it a go with the 'real thing', but it was a big no!

We will write again after the weekend. We have big plans, so hopefully all goes well! Oh and happy news auntie Rozzy...Ben just loves his big boy ducky tub now. His baths are much longer as she plays with his toys for a long while. Yay!

Happy 5th of July! Our 4th was definitely one to remember - but not for the reasons you may expect. We woke up Friday morning to discover that Ben picked up pink eye from school. So...we were quarantined the entire weekend. No water park fun or fireworks for Benjamin. Just itchy eye goop. He is such a good boy though. He didn't really seem to be bothered by it, or the Antibiotics that are causing a ruckus in his diaper. We were able to go for a walk in the neighborhood, as long as we kept our distance from anything breathing so as not to share the virus. He took a little nap, and then stayed up with us until 10:15. That is late for him!

The highlight of my weekend was the NKOTB concert on Friday. Yes I will admit to going, and yes it was awesome! We had an up close encounter with them during the concert and we squealed like little girls. They are still super cool and Donnie still rocks my world. Chad reminded me that this is Ben's blog and I am not to post any pictures of them...boo!
